My Corner Kitchen

I moved to the States from Beijing many years ago. For relationships, study plans, and for the future. Started cooking in my 20s, kitchen has always been a happy place for me. I see it as my personal art studio. I could freely use all materials to create however it has to turn out. And the pleasing results for the taste buds encourage me to do more and more.

The kitchen is where I’m in control, it’s where I find my peace and sanity. Being a stay-at-home mom for most of the years that I have spent here in the States has kept me even closer to the kitchen. I tried to cook less and it was to no avail. Cooking has become an obsession. I’m on my kitchen dance shoes all day and working my way to a perpetual cooking machine.. in a million fun ways.

Later I would realize that I can not stop cooking and will not want to or it is simply not possible to stop. Am from China. China is all about food. Food was all we used to have. My parents both worked their entire life providing us with a pretty good living environment. My three sisters and I shared all their love through the beautiful dishes they made. Cooking makes me go home. And home is found always in my kitchen.
